This is my 4th German theme park and 9th European park, in 3 years.
It was standard for a Merlin park in that it was good but not brilliant. Merlin has been riding off a big name for a long time but compared to independent parks the ride quality and imagination is simply not there.
One day was plenty for this park. Its been described as a German Alton Towers which I think is fair.
The mix of rides isn't bad but a bit rundown in areas and workers were not as inviting as other parks. Unfortunately, single rider heide park drop tower Scream was not operating and as one of the main thrill attractions, it impacted my day negatively. Single schramberg recommend the Panoramaturm for taking photos of the park. I found the flat rides more enjoyable than the roller coasters which for the most part were shabby and uncomfortable with no effort of theming.
The family coasters are better than the supposed thrill rides. Bobbhan and Grottenblitz are fairly good. The only advertised thrill ride I found fulfilling in this area was the Krake, German's first and only?
I think Colossos in will make a small difference to the appeal overall. I would say, save your cash and invest in a trip to Hansa Park, where the ride themes are well developed, top quality original rollercoasters and staff that care with the addition of charming gift shops, coastal views, healthy food options, where it is far less commercial and money grabbing.
